The Beaver Moon was just beautiful on the morning of November 5. I observed it last night, coming home from choir practice, but didn’t have my camera to take a photo. But, it was so clear this morning that I got an almost perfect shot! This time of year is my favorite time to view the moon. The air just seems crisper and clearer. When I see a moon like this, it makes me want to reach up and touch it! I find it amazing that we can see elevations and craters on our little satellite.

This Buckeye butterfly was flying around with all the Monarchs yesterday. It was exciting to see him because I had just drawn a Buckeye with pen and watercolor the day before! Not perfect, but I could identify the butterfly from my drawing!

This Fritillary butterfly was enjoying the Lantana today. What a beautiful butterfly!

The little green frog was back in the yellow bird house. He pops his head out and seems to be smiling at me!

The Rufous Hummingbird is still hanging out in the quiet wild of our backyard. She is busy every day, going from bloom to feeder and back to bloom. I was finally able to catch her resting on a Maple tree branch on November 9. My feeders remain up until I don’t see her for a week or more.

I thought the roses were finished with their show, but they continue to make pretty blooms.

An Eastern Leaf-footed Bug on one of my roses. Natural gardening means accepting all sorts of insects and working with nature to find a balance. I continue to seek balance in my small little spot in the world. I invite you to find balance as you interact with all creatures great and small. We may never know the impact we have on others, but the one thing we can do is be kind.
