There are several different kinds of amphibians and reptiles living in my garden. This little guy and a couple of his frog friends decided that the bird house hanging in the flower bed would be a good place to hang out. I caught him peeking out of the birdhouse hole in the late morning. He appears to be considering his options!

Toads are a little harder to catch in a photograph because they hide under my flower pots and garden shed during the day. I keep trying to get a good photo of them, but so far this is all I have. This little guy tried to hop under the potted wisteria plant, but froze when he saw the flash from my camera.

Now, the lizards are a different story all together. They are busy all day long, running along the top of the fence or darting across the patio to avoid detection. Sometimes I will see a leaf or branch move in a strange way, and upon checking, I find a lizard leaping from branch to branch, chasing food. I caught the next set of photos while watching a Green Anole hunt some kind of insect in the Lantana bush. He was very photogenic! I hope you enjoy watching this slideshow. • Lizard chasing insect in Lantana

Brown Anoles look very reptilian and sometimes scare me when I move pots around. I am seeing more and more of them in the backyard. These two were doing their thing in the quiet wild.
